Custom Guitar Atelier offers custom-built guitars, stock instruments, related products, and other services through this website.

We make reasonable efforts to display products, finishes, colors, specifications, and descriptions as accurately as possible. However, actual colors, textures, wood grain, materials, and final appearance may vary due to screen settings, photography, natural material variation, craftsmanship, and production methods.


3. Custom Orders

Custom-built instruments are made according to customer-selected or customer-requested specifications.

By placing a custom order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Custom orders are made specifically for you
  • Production may begin based on the specifications you provide
  • Custom Shop orders are generally non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable, except where otherwise stated or required by law
  • Final products may vary slightly from mockups, renderings, reference images, or descriptions due to materials, craftsmanship, availability, or necessary production adjustments

Custom Guitar Atelier reserves the right to make minor technical, structural, or aesthetic adjustments when necessary to ensure manufacturability, structural integrity, finish quality, or overall product consistency.


4. Pricing and Payment

All prices shown on the website are subject to change without notice.

By placing an order, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing and payment information. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if payment information is inaccurate, incomplete, unauthorized, or suspected of fraud.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as PayPal or other payment methods made available during checkout. By completing payment, you also agree to the terms and policies of the applicable payment provider.

Custom Guitar Atelier is not responsible for errors, delays, or security issues caused by third-party payment processors.


5. Shipping and Delivery

We ship using carriers that may include EMS Express Mail Service, China Post, USPS, UPS, and FedEx, depending on destination and customer selection during checkout.

Tracking and insurance are generally included with shipments. Estimated shipping or transit times are provided for reference only and are not guaranteed.

Custom Guitar Atelier is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • customs clearance
  • carrier issues
  • weather
  • incorrect shipping information
  • remote delivery locations
  • events beyond our reasonable control

For international orders, including Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO shipments where applicable, customers are solely responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, or similar charges. The full value of the order may be declared on customs documentation where required.

Shipping Origin and Tracking

Custom Guitar Atelier custom-built instruments and certain products may be manufactured, assembled, or fulfilled through our production facilities and partners in China.

Orders are generally shipped from China using EMS (Express Mail Service) and other available carriers, depending on destination, package requirements, and shipping availability.

Once an order has been shipped, customers will receive a shipping confirmation email containing the applicable tracking number and tracking information, where available.

Customers may use the provided tracking number to monitor the progress of their shipment through the carrierโ€™s tracking system.

Tracking updates are subject to carrier scanning procedures and may not update continuously while a shipment is in transit, customs processing, or transfer between carrier networks.

Estimated Delivery Time

Custom Guitar Atelier specializes in custom-built instruments that are made to order according to each customerโ€™s specifications.

Handling / Production Time

Estimated handling and production time is generally 60โ€“90 business days, depending on factors including:

  • Custom specifications
  • Build complexity
  • Material availability
  • Finishing requirements
  • Parts sourcing
  • Current workshop schedule

Production time begins after payment confirmation and final approval of specifications.

Transit / Shipping Time

Once shipped, estimated transit time is generally 15โ€“30 business days worldwide, depending on:

  • Destination country
  • Shipping carrier
  • Customs processing
  • Local delivery conditions
  • Seasonal shipping volume

Transit times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Total Estimated Delivery Time

The total estimated delivery time consists of:

Production / Handling Time: 60โ€“90 business days

plus

Shipping / Transit Time: 15โ€“30 business days

Estimated Total Delivery Time (Worldwide): 75โ€“120 business days

Actual delivery times may vary depending on the complexity of the order, customs clearance procedures, carrier performance, weather conditions, holidays, remote-area delivery requirements, and other factors beyond our control.


6. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Custom Shop Orders

Custom Shop orders are generally non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable, except in limited cases at our sole discretion or where required by law.

Stock Model Orders

Eligible non-custom or stock orders may be cancelled, subject to any applicable cancellation fee stated on the website or at checkout.

Eligible returns must be authorized with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and requested within the return window stated in our store policies.

Approved returns may be subject to:

  • restocking fees
  • return shipping costs
  • inspection for condition
  • deduction for missing parts, damage, wear, misuse, or insufficient packaging

Shipping charges, labor charges, custom setup charges, wiring modifications, pickup swaps, and similar service fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

7. Customer Content and Custom Design Submissions

When placing a custom order, you may submit designs, images, logos, text, graphics, specifications, or other materials (โ€œCustomer Contentโ€) for inclusion in your instrument or order.

By submitting Customer Content, you represent and agree that:

  • You own or control all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and authorizations to use and submit the content
  • Your Customer Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade dress, patent, or other proprietary or intellectual property right of any third party
  • Your Customer Content does not violate any law, regulation, or third-party right

Custom Guitar Atelier does not verify ownership, legality, or authorization of any Customer Content submitted by a customer and is not responsible for doing so.


8. Prohibited Designs

Custom Guitar Atelier reserves the right to refuse, reject, pause, or cancel any order that includes content we determine, in our sole judgment, to be prohibited, unauthorized, infringing, misleading, offensive, or legally risky.

This may include, without limitation:

  • trademarked names, logos, or brand identifiers
  • copyrighted artwork or images without authorization
  • celebrity likenesses or signatures
  • branded artwork or protected visual elements
  • designs that may create confusion with another company, brand, or product
  • any content that may expose Custom Guitar Atelier to legal disputes, claims, or reputational harm

If prohibited content is identified, the order may be cancelled and any refund, whether full or partial, will be handled at our sole discretion depending on the order status and work already completed.


9. Customer Responsibility and Indemnification

You are solely responsible for all Customer Content and materials submitted with your order.

By placing an order, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Custom Guitar Atelier, its owners, affiliates, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

  • any Customer Content you submit
  • any alleged or actual infringement of intellectual property rights
  • any unauthorized use of protected materials
  • any claim, complaint, demand, dispute, or legal proceeding related to your submitted content or requested design

You accept full legal responsibility for the materials you provide.


10. Design Interpretation and Production Variations

Custom Guitar Atelier will make reasonable efforts to produce your requested instrument as accurately as possible. However, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • wood grain, figuring, color, finish, and texture naturally vary
  • actual product appearance may differ from digital mockups, renders, or reference photos
  • hardware, electronic components, or specific materials may vary when substitutions are necessary
  • slight differences in shape, contour, finish tone, inlay appearance, engraving, binding, or visual details may occur during production

Such variations are a normal part of custom manufacturing and craftsmanship and shall not be considered defects or grounds for cancellation, chargeback, or refund.


11. Portfolio, Website, and Marketing Use

Unless you notify us in writing before production begins, Custom Guitar Atelier reserves the right to photograph, record, and use images or video of completed instruments for lawful business purposes, including:

  • portfolio display
  • website content
  • product listings
  • social media posts
  • advertising and promotional materials

If you request privacy before production begins, we will make reasonable efforts to honor that request, but confidentiality is not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.


12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute, you agree to contact Custom Guitar Atelier and give us a reasonable opportunity to review and address the issue.

Initiating a chargeback without prior communication may result in:

  • delay in dispute resolution
  • submission of order records, communications, images, production records, and these Terms and Conditions to the payment provider
  • refusal of future orders
  • account review or purchasing restrictions

We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and promptly whenever possible.


13. Intellectual Property
