I just received my first custom build from customguitaratelier.com, and I am absolutely blown away by the craftsmanship. The entire process from start to finish was exceptional, but opening the case for the first time was an unforgettable experience.

The aesthetic execution is flawless. The grayish blue quilted maple top looks absolutely mesmerizing in person, and it pairs beautifully with the rich, resonant mahogany wood body. Playing it is a dream—the tiger maple neck feels incredibly fast and comfortable in the hands, and the ebony fretboard is smooth as glass. The absolute highlight for me, though, is seeing my band's custom logo perfectly integrated into the design. They captured the artwork with total precision, making this a true one-of-a-kind instrument.

In terms of performance, it plays and sounds just as good as it looks. It came perfectly set up straight out of the box with fresh D’addario strings and a flawlessly cut bone nut. The tuning stability is rock solid, completely anchored by the Japan Gotoh machine heads and Japan Gotoh bridge. When plugged in, this guitar is an absolute beast. The EMG pickups deliver incredible clarity and punch that cuts right through the mix, while the Japan Gotoh potentiometers provide an incredibly smooth, responsive sweep for precise volume and tone control.

Instrument Commissioned: Custom Hand-Carved Angel Electric Guitar

I wanted an instrument that was visually unique but still packed a serious punch for studio work, so I contacted the team at customguitaratelier.com to design a custom electric guitar featuring an intricate, hand-carved angel theme. The final result is nothing short of breathtaking. The 3D carving of the angel wings sweeping across the body is incredibly detailed and smooth, showcasing absolute mastery in woodworking.

Beyond the striking visuals, the component selection is top-tier. The guitar is outfitted with Gotoh Japan machine heads and a Gotoh Japan potentiometer, which give it incredibly precise control and rock-solid tuning stability. For the electronics, we chose a set of USA Seymour Duncan pickups that perfectly capture the natural resonance of the tonewoods, delivering pristine, angelic cleans and soaring, rich overdrive.

Shipping an instrument of this caliber internationally to Germany can make any musician nervous, but it arrived here in Bavaria completely immaculate, packed securely in a heavy-duty hard case. The setup was absolutely perfect right out of the box with beautifully low action and spot-on intonation. This is a spectacular, heirloom-quality guitar that plays even better than it looks.
